Modélisation et Analyse pour la Recherche COtière

The "Modelling and Analysis for Coastal Research" project brings together efforts in pre-operational demonstration of numerical models to serve the research community for a wide range of applications. The models implemented today are Ifremer's MARS3D model (circulation, biogeochemistry and sediment dynamics), and the WAVEWATCH III wave model developed by an international consortium coordinated by NOAA.

The main objective of MARC is to provide realistic replay of the coastal ocean and to demonstrate the capabilities of the numerical models developed at LOPS.
The results for the real-time simulations are disseminated via http://umr-lops.org/marc

Different hindcats have been made for waves: IOWAGA, HOMERE and RESOURCODE... more details here.
